Irving Penn (1917, Plainfield, NJ – 2009, NY) realizó esta sesión con Nikole Kidman en septiembre de 2003 para el Vogue USA. La editora de moda tardó más un año en convencer a Penn de que la fotografiase.

Irving Penn hizo este retrato con 86 años, seis años antes de morir. Eso es posible en un país donde valoran a los profesionales por su talento y no por su edad.
