Cuando Juan Manuel Bonet dice que Plossu retrata “momentos hechos de nada”, se refiere a que Plossu no está interesado en esa cualidad del fotoperiodismo que registra pasajes importantes para la posteridad, a manera de denuncia o de registro documental. A Plossu le interesan más esas escenas que pasan discretamente y nos acarician apenas sin que nos demos cuenta. “La fotografía no habla de instantes decisivos; incluso diría que lo que me interesa es fotografiar los instantes no decisivos, fuera del tiempo.”
“¡El fotógrafo tiene el azar que se merece! —se emociona Plossu—. Pasan tantas cosas frente a él, detrás, a los lados. Una foto no habla solamente de lo que se tiene delante, sino de todo lo que hay alrededor.
